सबने उसका मज़ाक उड़ाया। उसके भाई बोले, “तू यहाँ लड़ाई देखने आया है!” पर दाऊद ने कहा, “जिसने मुझे शेर और भालू से बचाया, वही मुझे इस पलिश्ती से भी बचाएगा।”
👑 राजा के सामने दाऊद
राजा शाऊल के सामने दाऊद को लाया गया। राजा ने कहा, “तू एक बच्चा है, और वह युद्ध का योद्धा है।” पर दाऊद ने उत्तर दिया:
“जब मैं भेड़ें चराता था और कोई शेर या भालू आता, तो मैं उसे मारता था। वही परमेश्वर अब मुझे शक्ति देगा।”
