The Third Heaven – God's Throne, the Glory of Heaven, the Presence of God, Heavenly Worship, and the Eternal Kingdom of Jesus Christ (Part 2)
In Part 1, we learned that the Bible speaks of three heavens. The first heaven is the sky above the earth where birds fly and clouds move. The second heaven is the vast universe containing the sun, moon, stars, and galaxies. The Third Heaven is completely different. It is not simply another part of creation but the glorious dwelling place of Almighty God.
The Third Heaven is the highest heaven revealed in Scripture. It is where God's throne is established, where the Lord Jesus Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father, where countless holy angels worship day and night, and where believers will one day live forever in the presence of God. It is a place of perfect holiness, everlasting peace, endless joy, righteousness, and eternal glory.
Throughout the Bible, Heaven is presented as the center of God's kingdom and the place from which He rules over all creation. Every description of Heaven reveals God's greatness, holiness, majesty, wisdom, power, and everlasting love. While many people imagine Heaven according to traditions or personal opinions, Christians must understand Heaven only through the inspired Word of God.
As we continue this biblical study, we will discover what Scripture teaches about God's throne, His heavenly kingdom, His glorious presence, and the worship that continually takes place before Him.

The Third Heaven Is God's Dwelling Place
The Bible repeatedly describes Heaven as the dwelling place of God. Although God is everywhere because He is omnipresent, the Third Heaven is the place where His glory is revealed in its fullest measure.
From Heaven, God reigns over the universe, hears the prayers of His people, accomplishes His perfect will, and rules with righteousness and justice. Heaven is not limited by time or space as we understand them on earth. It is the holy dwelling place of the Eternal King.
Deuteronomy 26:15
"Look down from heaven, Your holy dwelling place, and bless Your people Israel..."
This verse reminds us that Heaven is holy because God Himself is holy. His presence makes Heaven glorious beyond human imagination.
The holiness of Heaven teaches us that nothing sinful can remain before God. Everything in Heaven reflects His perfect character, purity, righteousness, truth, and everlasting light.
Throughout Scripture, believers lift their eyes toward Heaven because it is the place where God's authority, mercy, grace, and blessing flow from His throne.

Heaven Is God's Throne
One of the greatest truths revealed in the Bible is that Heaven is God's throne.
A throne represents authority, kingship, justice, sovereignty, and absolute power. The Bible declares that God's throne is established forever and that His kingdom has no end.
Isaiah 66:1
"Heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool."
These words remind us that the Creator rules over everything He has made. Every nation, every ruler, every angel, every human being, and every created thing exists under His authority.
No earthly kingdom can compare with God's eternal kingdom. Human kingdoms rise and fall, but God's kingdom stands forever.
Psalm 103:19
"The Lord has established His throne in heaven, and His kingdom rules over all."
This verse reveals the complete sovereignty of God. Nothing happens outside His knowledge, wisdom, or permission. His throne is never shaken, His rule never ends, and His purposes never fail.
For believers, this truth brings great comfort. Even when the world seems uncertain, God remains on His throne, faithfully governing His creation according to His perfect plan.

The Throne of God
The Book of Revelation gives us the clearest description of God's heavenly throne.
The Apostle John was taken in the Spirit and saw the glory of Heaven. His vision reminds us that God's majesty is beyond human understanding.
Revelation 4:2–3
*"At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it. And the One who sat there had the appearance
